SJP in Autumn Last year, I watched the leaves turn from my classroom. This year, beginning September 13, 2007, I intend to take a photo every morning from that window and share the view here. It won't be quite like a webcam, but you'll get the idea. The quality will vary, too, depending in part on whether I remember to turn off the light in the classroom. And as of November 8, the photo essay is done. Something unexpected happened during long weekend (October 18-21): the morning sun shifted around the corner of the building, and what had been very good light for the photos suddenly became the worst possible light. I started taking my shots in the afternoon (hence the change in shadows), but I couldn't always get into the classroom then, and even in the bad light it should be evident that the leaves are essentially gone. Next year I'll take the shots of a different set of trees that are closer to the building and just as enjoyable.
