In my collection of 45s I had an instrumental tune that intrigued me because it was so odd. It sounds almost like a medley of different tunes by different artists. Instruments on this tune include a piccolo and an accordion.

Unfortunately for me, the label on both sides of this 45 began to slough off when I was about 6. I got tired of watching it flap around, so I pulled it all the way off. I saved the label, but eventually it disappeared.

And so, I have no idea who recorded these songs, or what their titles are. They would be from the early 1960s, or possibly the late 1950s. Ferrante & Teicher have been suggested for Side B, but so far no one has found the exact name or been able to place Side A.

If you know the songs, tell me what they are. If you are the first person to identify either side, once I verify your guess, I will either treat you to dinner in person, if I have become famous, or send you a $50 gift certificate to the restaurant of your choice, if I have not yet become famous. Name them both, and it's worth $100 to you.

I am reasonably sure these recordings would benefit more by being on this site than by not being here. If you own the rights to them and want them removed, contact Seán via the link at the left.

So, here are the tunes. Happy hunting!

Update 7/13/2007: Some really good musical minds were put on this task last month, and no one could identify either tune. So, if you really want to impress people, deliver the goods!
